Empowerteen offers internships to college students for school credit as well as to those who are serious about seeking the training for a great learning experience and opportunity to provide public service.

What type of experience are you looking for in an internship? What do you hope to gain? Do you want your internship to be an extension of the person you want to become? Do you want to be a part of something greater than yourself? Would you like an experience that will connect you to community and change your life for the better?

Empowerteen has the Internship for YOU!

1- Event Coordinator – assist the director in bringing together public service providers, teachers, and other professionals and merchants from the community to create highly impactful events.

2- Social Media Marketing- schedule posts and campaigns on the social media sites that help draw awareness from the community to the program and keeps teens and their parents engaged in resources.

3- Creative Writer- write blogs, create content, and find just the right wording to reach and connect to a varied audience of teens, parents, and professionals interested in learning more about Empowerteen and looking for social resources.

4- Community Outreach Liaison- connect the community to a common goal of supporting our youth to succeed regardless of financial ability or socio-economic status, and developing a relationship with sponsors of Empowerteen.

5- Non-Profit Business Assistant- gain experience on the developmental and entrepreneurial side of non-profit business success, registering an entity and filing for a 501c3 status, and communicating with a board of directors.

6- Photographer- record static and dynamic visual imagery with your camera to share the stories of the teens who embark on their journey with Empowerteen and document the amazing transformations that occur at the events.

7- Video Clip Producer- put previously captured video content and interviews to work in the form of bite-sized movies to share online that tell a story about Empowerteen, the teens that have benefited, and the impact on community.

8- Summer Retreat Mentor- gain hands-on experience connecting directly with teens and tweens at a summer retreat, spot needs of individual participants and learn how to affect change, and help each participant feel valued.

9- Research Assistant- put 5 years of data recorded from participants of Empowerteen into measurable results to compare with other research in the field, and ally current research available to the techniques used in the program.

10- Children’s Book Illustrator- bring visual life and color into the characters of the children’s storybook written by Empowerteen’s tween girls to teach elementary school kids the value of empathy, friendships, and conflict resolution.
