Candlelight Yoga Benefit for Empowerteen
WHEN: 05/10/19, Friday, 7:30pm-8:45pm
WHERE: Pure 8 Yoga Studio, 4021 SW 117th Ave, Beaverton, OR 97005
HOW: Suggested donation of $10-$15 at the door. You can also bring gently used or new yoga supplies (yoga blankets, mats, and yoga straps) if you have it, or donate money toward sponsoring a teen to attend a retreat.
WHAT: Join the Pure 8 community as Kendall Parkin leads an all levels, non-heated, slow flow, Candlelight Yin and meditation class to benefit Empowerteen. No flexibility or previous yoga experience necessary!
Empowerteen is a teen and tween wellness outreach program for girls and boys in Beaverton. It’s mission is to empower them with tools for better mental, emotional, physical, and social health, using lessons to increase self-esteem and nutritional habits, create healthy relationships and manage stress, love themselves and live with gratitude/kindness, and activities such as yoga, hiking, dancing and meditation.
WHY: Empowerteen has summer retreats coming up and is in need of supplies for yoga and pilates, as well as sponsorship aid for those who cannot afford to attend.

Adults Empowerment Workshop to Benefit Empowerteen
WHEN: 06/02/19, Sunday, 1pm-4:30pm
WHERE: Empowerteen Headquarters, 3800 SW Cedar Hills Blvd, Suite 124, Beaverton, OR 97005
HOW: $75 covers your registration for the workshop and is your donation toward sponsoring teens who need financial help attending Empowerteen events. Register for your spot through this website on the EVENTS page.
WHAT: Finally a workshop for adults, too! Amazing guest speakers, a mindfulness exercise, core values activity, and product lab etching glass and creating your own unique sun catcher to reflect your values and intentions back to you as a daily reminder.
WHY: To empower yourself, invest in yourself, take time for yourself, and give back to teens and your community while doing it.
