Empowerteen Summer Retreat

for Tween Girls!

This retreat is an opportunity to escape to the beautiful Jenkins Estate with other girls of the same age for one week and practice tools that will empower her to be a more confident, skilled, and successful woman in the future.  The retreat is led by Naturopathic Physician, Dr. Paula Pilcher, and other health professional specialists, who will teach them tools scientifically proven to improve self-esteem and body image, such as yoga, fascial melting, mindfulness, dance, and nature hikes.  Activities and topics covered include confronting your “inner mean girl”, building healthy relationships, communication, relationships, respect, stopping bad cycles, empathy, gratitude and kindness, making skin care products, an herb garden tour and how to use aromatherapy.  This retreat is for girls in Middle School, ages 11-13 years old.
The tweens beginners retreat will also focus on bullying, disconnecting from digital media, making vision boards, and peer-driven topics.

We meet from 9am-3pm every day at the Jenkins Estate on Cooper Mountain. The address is 8005 SW Grabhorn Rd, Beaverton, OR 97007

The advanced retreats are for those who have already attended the introductory retreat in the past, and want to expand into more topics, practices, and product-making activities. The advanced retreat can also be attended consecutively after taking the beginner’s retreat in the same summer cycle. In the advanced retreat, we advance our knowledge and activities learned in the beginners retreat, but also get to do Tai Chi and practicing deep breathing for alpha brainwave stress relief, make chapstick from scratch, have lessons on Music Therapy and Art Therapy and Nutrition, and more. The most exciting part is Empowerteen has partnered with an award winning children’s storybook publishing firm in St. Louis for this retreat, and the girls will also spend the week taking all their lessons from both weeks to create and author a collaborative book which will be illustrated with the firm’s award-winning illustrators as well as the collaborative art piece the girls make during camp, published, printed and sold with the proceeds coming back to Empowerteen to sponsor future tweens at retreats who can’t afford registration. From this they will then have the legacy of having their name as an author and their artwork featured in a published children’s book, teaching the concepts of empathy, gratitude, communication, relationships and conflict resolution.

This is an amazing opportunity and we do hope you will sign her up for the second retreat this summer so she can be empowered by empowering 5-7 year olds! Scholarships are available, if needed. The Advance Tweens Retreat is July 24th-28th with the THPRD class number CH18301.

The Registration fee is $113 paid to THPRD which will also hold your spot in the retreat, and a lab fee of $244.50 is due by the first day of camp, paid directly to the program director.

Scholarships are available, if needed.
